Office Workers should exercise for at least 1 hour every day
You may have seen or heard that "sitting disease" has been dominating the news channels and daily papers today, all thanks to a great report published by Professor Ulf Ekelund, from Cambridge University and the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences. Some of the worrying facts the report discovered was that sitting for at least eight hours a day could increase the risk of premature death by up to 60 per cent.
The report is calling for the government and employers to encourage more physical activity in the workplace, and we can't help but think that treadmill desks could be the ideal solution to this problem...
